Winners Announced for 2009-2010 Grass Roots Sponsorship Program
WSN Environmental Solutions is pleased
to announce the selection of 10 community sustainability projects that
will receive funding through the WSN 2009-2010 Grass Roots Sponsorship
Program.
The organisations selected for funding will deliver community-led programs
providing a tangible benefit to the local community and the environment,
and also focusing on resource recovery and/or waste minimisation.
WSN received 39 applications this year, and after a challenging judging
process, we chose 10 outstanding winners. The following organisations are
receiving Grass Roots funding this year:
- St Patrick's Primary School, Blacktown
- Camden Preschool Kindergarten Cooperative Limited
- Dobroyd Point Public School P&C Association
- Asia Youth & Culture Council, Campsie
- Carroll College, Broulee
- Bikes for Humanity, Coogee
- Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick
- Putney Public School
- Strathfield Girls High School
- Community of Schools on the Park, Audley Heights
We will now have sponsored over 85 community sustainability projects since the program was launched in July 2005, with the assistance of our council partners, and we look forward to seeing the results of the creative and inspirational projects supported this year.
